Lets be honest here, the PS3 is severely undertracked and chances are this discrepancy will not be alleviated. Based solely on the numbers released by MS and Sony, there is no doubt the PS3 will outsell the 360 by the end of this generation.

Wii: 17m (100 million total)
360: 13m (63 million total)
PS3: 15m (61 million total)
