Although Playstation is the most popular console brand in Brazil (it is almost a synonymous for video game) Sony dosen`t ship any PS3 to retailers. All PS3 consoles are imported.

I think the same thing happens in the rest of latino america.

Sony is currently producing PS2s in Brazil, Argentina and Mexico if I'm not mistaken. There has been a wave of official PS2 lauches some two years ago in Brazil and Latin America.

If not Argentina, then at least Mexico and Brazil.
