I've been sinking many, many hours into Infinite Space.
It falls down in a few respects, such as sometimes being really unclear where you need to go next, and occasionally giving you a game over with absolutely zero warning (save often), but it's fun to effectively have a nearly infinite party and be able to completely customize your fleet. There aren't a lot of RPGs that manage to hold my attention for 50 hours, and I still haven't finished it.
