lol some people don't realise this game is coded around the pc architecture, and it has nothing to do with cell power or ram limitations, look at games like Uncharted 2, GOW III and the upcoming Infamous 2, they have absoulutely no problems at all with ps3 architecture but that is because they make proper use of the SPU's I am betting if SE are having problems with a huge open world then it may because they have not made usuage of the SPU's, I think it is doable but maybe they are having to create an engine which uses the SPU's, may I also remind you all this game is not coming to 360, and I don't think it will be possbile on the 360

Last I heard it was going to be coming out for the 360... unless something has changed. I don't care either way, I have a PS3, PC and 360, though I will be playing this on PC anyhow

No SE said they could not work out their issues on the whol XLive policy, but to be honest I think they are using it as an excuse, to cover up for a more serious issue, they still have to keep MS sweet to a certain degree

No SE was telling the truth. Everyone MMO announced for 360 thus far has been canned. Champions Online, Conan, etc. The always sight Live Policy as the cause. One of the biggest issues is the certification process for DLC. MMO's patch frequently and if I'm not mistaken there is a 6 week certification process on Live. It seems MS let FFXI slide to get closer to SE and isn't willing to budge now.
