I actually depend on reviews from ign and sometimes VGC not mainly for the score (which I sometimes use for arguments/boasting) but for the text and images. Then if I still can't really picture what the game is like from that (or occasionally, am really excited about the game), i'll watch IGN's video review. Again, not for the commentary but to actuall SEE the gameplay. So, reviews actually help me.
