If that was the launch PSP, the revisions fixed that.

And the DS revisions are also much smoother than the clicking d-pad of the first one.

PSP 2000 is much better than 1000 but they haven't changed much since then, the Go is worse in fact.

Original DS has a good D pad if you ask me just too much wear and it can end up starting to suck I played FPS games on my original and it worked really well, Lite has a more raised pad which makes it better for fighters but then they made it sorta squishy which I just don't like and you can tell a difference when playing FPS games, now the DSi and DSi XL have probably one of the best D Pads on any handheld ever sadly I don't own one but I figure the 3DS will use that D-pad.

Soudns good. Yeah I have PSP 1000 so that would explain my disguist with that pad. I got it so I could mod it and can do snes and genesis roms... The 2000 models weren't modable when I bought mine...lol
