| Kasey said: I don't understand people on this thread saying that Nintendo is, has been, and always will be, doomed. Really? Because I think Nintendo easily dominated this generation, and it probably will the next, as well, thanks to Nintendo 3DS. Even last generation, due to the Gameboy Advance/SP, Nintendo was still viable competition (again, I mean overall, not in console wars). It should also be noted that Nintendo has the strongest and most stable handheld market of ANY other video game company in history. I think Nintendo is far from doomed. I think Nintendo will continue to be the leaders in gaming innovation for years to come. Note for all the Nintendo haters out there: Please note that I didn't say graphics, multimedia, or HD. I said innovation. It is pretty much impossible to deny Nintendo's true skill in that department. |
I don't believe that innovation is equivalent to having the guts to release a console with motion controls. Not knocking Nintendo in past generations at all, or even current ones as much. I just don't really know how 'innovative' the motion controls this generation were. Definitely a ballsy, bold decision by Nintendo. Innovative? I don't know if I can give that to them.
