If you're 21 and under, you shouldn't even comment in this thread. You weren't alive when Nintendo was at it's best and so your experience is VERY limited on the subject.

There was a time when Nintendo CREATED Zelda,Mario and Metroid...not simply made sequels. If you were alive during this time, like I was, you'll totally understand the article.

So, the PS3 and Xbox 360 are not filled with sequels? (God of War says hello to Halo ...)

So Super Mario Galaxy was not a new play experience? (Exiting character, new way to play)

So the Wii/Mii series is something old? (copied by others with avatars)

So Miyamoto saying it was time for a new character (a new IP) does not mean anything?

Your kinda grasping for straw's, listing one or two sequels on the PS3 and 360 doesn't counteract his argument. It's pretty late into this generation and Miyamoto is only just now talking about a new IP. I don't know about you, but when I buy a new console I expect a lot of new experiences and I don't believe Nintendo have delivered in that regard.

I start playing Mario Galaxy and it feel's like Mario Sunshine. I'm playing Brawl on the Wiimote and the control's are just disgusting and the charm I got from Smash Bros. 64 is gone. Mario Kart Wii is just more of the same. Then you have all the Gamecube port's which everyone wants me to believe are addition's to the Wii's library, but I think it's just lazy.

People will then start pointing out the Wii franchise, which was great at release. Then we get Wii Fit, Wii Sports Resort, Wii Fit, Wii Fit Plus, Wii Play, Wii Music, Wii Chess and by now it's just ridiculous. It's become the equivalent of the Guitar Hero Series, Imagine series and Smackdown Vs Raw series, which are now all boring and uninspired.

I don't know, I may be a bitter old man hanging on to my N64 and SNES emulator, but I think the people who don't like what Nintendo have had on offer this gen are completely justified in thinking that the company made better games 10 years ago.

Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.
