And I'm okay with those laws being there. But I don't think kids should go to prision for 9 to 30 years for doing crap like that. My point is the punishment is too harsh, i'm not arguing whether or not laws should be placed.

WIth that said I don't think its okay for mom's to have sex with their sons. But prision time like that should not be the punishment unless she was forcibly and violently raping the boy. And that doesn't appear to be what happened. Prove me wrong if you can.

Did you hang out with 14 year olds when you were a kid? You sound incredibly naive.

I remember even at the age of 12 some of them showing me their boners, talking about fingering girls, and quite a few were having sex. Some even claimed they did with older women.

You seem to think I'm wrong, but you are apparently positive this is a innocent boy. I guess neither of know anything and you're too naive to believe a 14 year old boy would want some stank on his hang low.

I never said the boy in question was an innocent little boy that never thinks about sex, I said he was a clueless stupid 14-year-old boy that was taken advantage of by a sex predator. At 14 I hanged out mostly with girls, and I was also extemely religious so I didn't interract much with 14-year-old boys, nor was sex something that I spent much time obssessing over.

That propblem. you have a different mindset to this based on your time as a 14 religion, unfortunatly 90% of teenage childran have sex on there mind 24/7 and would love to get it anyway possible.

And that's exactly what makes them so vulnerable to abuse from sex predators like this woman. Boys are stigmatised if they don't have sex as quick as possible, as opposed to girls. This makes boys even more vulnerable to abuse, and may even determine many people to overlook the sexual abuse of boys just like many people on this forum are doing.

Men are vunerable to vagina at any age. We always want sex as quick as possible. Sometimes I want sex after having sex. Our opinions of abuse differ. I especially don't consider it abuse when its consenual sex.

I think logically and understand how the typical male thinks. While you have religious ideals and are naive. Obviously we can't see eye to eye on this topic.

Dude, if all the guys around you told you they were having sex at 14, chances are they are full of it. Sure it might have happened to a few of them, but boys talk big and lie because modern society places an improper emphasis on sex for both genders. When I was 12, kids were saying they got laid. One time my brother called a kid out on who was 13, it while we were hanging out. The kid didn't even know about the natural vaginal lubrication that occurs during sex, was faking his "deep voice", and on top of that, stumbled when trying to come up with a name.

If we was willing to talk to a counselor about it he obviously thought there was something wrong about it. Chances are, at the time he didn't see it, didn't care, or couldn't fully comprehend the consequences of having sex with his own mother, but that's why we have laws preventing that, because 18 year olds (and up) know better, and the under-aged do not. The reason why it's worse being his mother is that she is in an even greater position of power.

Seriously, I mean, imagine if for some reason (probably being ADOPTED to another set of parents), you had the hots for your mom, had sex with her at 14, and you regretted it later. Embarrassed and ashamed, it killed you inside and you HAD to tell someone (Notice he told a counselor, not his mom), it's like that. If he didn't have any regrets or problems with it, he would have just kept doing it. But apparently that wasn't the case, and even if it were, it doesn't make it right.

If it were a girl, you wouldn't be assuming she didn't "want it" and that she was forcibly violated. Believe it or not, it can and has happened the way it happened to this boy. It's really fucked up, but it happens, and maybe the 14-year old boy/girl doesn't/didn't know what's going on. Hell, some of my current (highschool) friends (girls for the most part, but there were a few guys) were never told what sex was exactly but just not to do it. They sought out and found information via other kids, but that wasn't for a while, and at 14, they could have been taken advantage by people they trusted and not known it.

Keep in mind during this whole little discussion, 14 years old is the age of an 8th grader/freshman. And that's current. There may have been an even bigger delay of him telling. It could have happened when he was 13 or 12, or possibly even younger. That usually happens.

Who said all the guys were claiming they had sex? Maybe some were bullshitting. But you're smart enough to know there are sexually active teenagers. Even sexually active pre-teens.

Like I said before, his mom is attractive and looks young for her age. If it was the typical fat and gross mom we're used too this would have never happened. Hence, the boy likely had sex with her because he was sexually attracted to her.

Just because he's ashamed of having sex with his mother doesn't mean he didn't want it. You ever masturbate and are ashamed after you finish? LIke you really wanted to drop your load at the moment but then you feel like a loser at the end? Hence, I find it likely the boy enjoyed the sex but didn't think about the consequences until he got the poison out. He eventually got tired of banging his mom, talked to a counselor because he began to feel shame, and now all his peers know he's the kid from the news for banging his mom. Lesson learned, the counselor may have made his life worse.

No, I wouldn't assume that if the same thing happened to a 14 year old girl. In fact, I know girls who have flirted with their teachers. For example, bend over in short skirts and say inappropriate things. Its a wacky world filled with more horny kids than you can shake a stick at.

I'm not saying the mom shouldn't be punished in some way. But seriously, lets stop packing the prisons with people that are no real threat to society.
