Personally, I think 3DS might be farther along than Nintendo is leading us to believe, which would explain the large developer support already. Nintendo's missed the holiday season on Lite, i, and iXL, though i'll grant they're all different from a completely new platform with new games. The 3rd parties that are (for once) pouring all this effort into that lineup might apply pressure to see a holiday release, if only to give their games a better fighting chance (though who knows which of that is launch material and what isnt?)
