Hate to be the one to break it to you but your actually wrong. 360 has sold more then PS2 in Americas,Japan and Europe since 360 was released.
Since 360 was released in each region these are the vgc numbers.

Meaning in Americas,Japan and Europe since 360's release 360 has sold more units then PS2.
Now what i have not included in these figures are the countries outside europe,americas and japan. Reason for that is if you actually look at these countries your find most of them have not even had a 360 release there. And in some regions PS2 is selling above or just under Wii.

But as i said above you can't really use numbers from these places as you would have to go through individually and remove places where 360 is not released. Like for example China, the most populated planet on earth. Many Middle Eastern countries. In reality if you went through each of those countries and removed the ones without a 360 release the PS2 total would be a lot lower.
Either way it does not matter, 360 has outsold PS2 in americas,europe and japan since it's release.
