More along the lines of this. Which btw, right after you save the Abbott is where the difficulty jumps.
But as an aside, this game is a very different title, even for a Dragon Quest title. The main story is short, but it is full of hundreds of hours of extra content. Why, adfter you save the Abbott, you literally can spend dozens of hours just doing side quests and alchemy without continuing the story. Much like in...oh....a WRPG.
Long story short, the 'meat' of the game is in the quests and exploration, just like with any Dragon Quest. Not in the story and just trying to 'beat the game'. Think of the 'story' in a Dragon Quest game as just opening new areas for you to explore. Not as the part of the game that should drive you.
