Oh i dunno, ever hear of a HL-clone? Or how about Diablo clones? Starcraft clones too? Unless you started playing about 3 years ago, the market would be flooded with all those types of games.

Isn't HL a doom clone? So they are actually copying ID! Diablo? Ultima clone?

Except that it isn't a DOOM clone. That's why HL was so successful. And Diablo wasn't an Ultima clone, which is also why it was so successful. I mean really, did you jsut start playing games in 2008 or something?
