3d would get in the way of an awful lot of movies. Warner are pushing 3d more than anyone and if they do then they will lose some very talented directors like chrostopher nolan for example... he doesnt like the idea of 3d film making at all... |
It took a long time to go from black and white to colour, and the change will probably be quite similar.
- Not all studios adopted colour straight away,
- Colour came to cinemas first - small numbers of movies to start with, the more as technology became cheaper and more available.
- It didn't take on in the home for a while - people couldn't afford colour TVs to start with, then it went mainstream, more TV programs were made in colour (remember those Captain Scarlet and Tunrderbirds programs?) and TVs came more available and cheaper.
There will be similarities in the adoption of 3D, there's no reason at this time to suggest 3D won't catch on mainstream at this time.
