No I prefer people stop saying that every time someone so much as hints at American sales.

I don't think it counts as a hint when someone mentions NPD (<---Pretty obvious right there).  And honestly, it isn't stupid, it's a fact that the USA does not = the world.  I usually only see people (myself included) mention this odly, little known fact when a select few start to get big heads around NPD time.

The only time its even remotely relevant is when someone actually thinks that the US = the world. 

I believe those people are known as 'Republicans'
