@ mafoo:  Obama the worst EVER, really?

Yes. For two reasons.

One is the only way they US will ever fall, is if we destroy ourselves, and the only way any county in the past that was in our situation has failed, is economically. No administration before this one has been so carless with out economy.

To be honest, the real ones to blame for that is out Congress, but what's going to break America are the programs Obama is pushing. If Congress did there job well, they would have just told him no.

The other, and this might come from him growing up abroad, is his views on what a president of the united states should be is all wrong. He is nothing more then an elected official who's job it to represent the people. It's hard for 300,000,000 people to have a meeting with the leader of Russia, so we effectively hire a guy to be our voice in that meeting. Obama sees his position more as a ruler, as a position a King would have. He feels it's his responsibility to "improve" the US even if it's in a direction most of America does not want to take. He thinks he was elected to reshape us, to use his wisdom to teach us what's right.

He is not the first to have these views, but of all presidents before him, he is the most extreme at each individually, and so combined, he is by far the worse president we have ever had.

I would rather have a dumb lazy president, then a smart motivated one who does what this one is doing.

1.  I disagree.  Reagan's administration was the one where "endless huge deficits" became okay somehow.  And then there's the whole thing with deregulating everything in sight -- oops S&L disaster etc.  And didn't he start his first term with the biggest tax cut in history?  Oops, too big, now they passed the biggest tax hike in history to tone it down.

I will be fair and admit that significant deregulation was already underway under Carter.  And also that the S&L thing would definitely (judging by the Wikipedia article) constitute gov't intervention that you and I can both agree on disagreeing with.

2.  I can only say I don't have the same interpretation of Obama's character at all

My advice to fanboys: Brag about stuff that's true, not about stuff that's false. Predict stuff that's likely, not stuff that's unlikely. You will be happier, and we will be happier.
