The ban Burka debate is far older than 9/11 in France.

Yeah, lets show those extremist burqa wearing women. They are obviously a threat to france.

1. It's a symbolic act.
- To show that there are limits to cultural expressions and ethnic isolation.
- And to mark that we don't want a society where people are anonynoums towards each other like people are when you barely can see their eyes.

2. We have a strong desire to protect women's rights.
