oil is a finite resource the world has been consuming it at an experiential rate there will be a point when we can no longer find new supplies and production will fall, there is no way around this. Whether we have hit that point yet IDK we may have and we may not know for many years. So yes I believe in peak oil but I don't think we have reached it yet myself, we are probably close tho as we are already turning to sources that would just not be viable even 5 years ago like oil sands etc.
