"Realism" is going so far in games it's not realistic anymore

I can truly see that ur tired of the "HD WHORES LOVE GAMES WITHOUT GAMEPLAY" thing cuz I totally avoided saying that & didnt even IMPLY it. I know there ARE HD games with great gameplay b4 great graphics. That's why I said if the SUBTLE things graphic whores love SELLS without getting in the way of good gameplay, fine! Look at Farmageddon's comment. I have actually started a forum before 2 complain about the fact that the double jump looks out of place in a game that looks like God of War. I think, 'how strange' each time he does it.

I'm just trying 2 say that if I wanted 2 show off a subtle thing that has almost nothing 2 do with the main gameplay in, say, Mario Galaxy, I would probably go to one of those 10-foot-radius flying saucers & do a long jump around it so I make a complete orbit. My graphic whore friend would roll his eyes as I bore him. But if he were the one showing off, he'd leap of a cliff in Zelda so that Link automatically dives like a professional into the water. Phew! U get me, right?
