On the other hand, the XBLA games / indygames will probably work on the Xbox 3 as well. Xbox 360 is backward compatible for the most games and they had the Xbox Live servers running for years before they turned them off.
I know Sony has a history of supporting the older consoles, but I don't see why MS can't do the same. Nvidia was the main problem for the original Xbox, so they HAD to stop producing it. This is different this gen.
As I said before, we don't know so it is pointless to say A or B will happen.
Imagine not having GamePass on your console...
