KOTOR2 was an amazing game, but LucasArts's greed got in the way of Obsidian doing the best that they could. If that game had been finished, it would have been better than the original KOTOR.

As I stated in my other replies, I also consider KOTOR 2 a very good game. My initial comments were due to the immensity of bugs and incomplete package that KOTOR 2 came with. Both the publisher and the developer are to blame for this, with the biggest share of the blame being of Lucasart and their one year deadline for the release of the game.

I may be wrong, but I was under the impression that development ran for eight months.

They didn't leave out the HK factory or the Droid Planet "for no reason", either - there was no time to implement all the stuff they had already made, unless I'm badly misinformed. To some degree it was Obsidian's fault, sure, they can't do technical work to save their souls, but I don't think lack of content can be laid at their feet.
