Well it seems you obviously didnt read a single thing I wrote, except for the 2 years part. My 2 years calculations is based off of a scenario where Blu-ray really starts to pick up some major marketshare soon. Which isnt happening right now. Personally I think DD sucks, if you actually buy it instead of stream it you have to wait for it to download, plus most of the time they dotn come with surround sound, its just 2 channel BS sound. But not with Blu-ray, its True HD with 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound. And since I actually own it and can hold it in my hands I can let friends borrow them. Not true with DD movies. The Future is not Netflix, DD has such a small martketshare its rearely reported on due to being insignificant to the current trends and near future. I saw the light on Netflix, it looked like a burned out light bulb. But maybe it was because I was blinded by light Blu-ray has and all they have to offer. |
The future is HD streaming like it or not. I won't argue with you cause the argument will go nowhere. When bandwidth and more HD streaming becomes available then people will realize. Why pay 20-30 dollars a movie when you can pay a 10 dollar fee each month and watch unlimited amount of movies. You only watch a movie once or twice every few years unless you are obsessed with the movie/show. Owning tv show seasons / movies isn't as important as owning a video game. You watch it once then move on only to return years later or when you are interested. Keep watching your blu ray though whatever makes you happy. I don't give a shit about HD. I have 480p Wii with no HD instant stream. You think I care? No. I am happy with the quality for now and I see no reason to spend money on upgrading.
