Just because Sony estimate to outsell 360 this holiday, doesn't mean it'll be anywhere near true.
I'm sure Microsoft with Kinect, Price drop and new model expect to widen the gap back to 8 million this fiscal year too. Doesn't mean it'll happen, Sony has had to adjust it's estimations before, and Microsoft doesn't give any so we can only guess what they're thinking
