Dont know if this was posted before, didnt see any posts on on a EMEA price cut; if so, ignore my post.
I work at one of the biggest gaming stores in Holland and recently we received a press release from Microsoft detailing the following:
* Xbox 360 Arcade available for only € 149,99, as of July 1. This is a permanent price cut, probably until the redesigned Arcade is released.
* Xbox 360 Elite available for only € 199,99, as of July 1. This however applies only to the stock that is left in store, so there will be no more shipments of the old Xbox 360 Elite.
* As of July 16, the new redesigned Xbox 360 Elite will be released throughout Europe. This new console will be available for € 249,99.
* Some first-party Xbox 360 games were made cheaper as well, titles include Crackdown, Gears of War, Ninja Gaiden II, Ninja Blade, PGR4, Viva Pinata 1 & 2 and some more. These titles will now all be available for € 19,99 a piece.
* Microsoft is prepping this announced for their new fiscal year, in which they strive to increase the demand for Xbox 360, accompanied with the launch of Kinect in November.
Some interesting side notes as I contacted Microsoft about supply for the new Xbox 360. They said demand for the new Xbox 360 is pretty hefty, and they are not sure if they can cope with the demand in the first few weeks. I ordered 100 Xbox 360s consoles to start with, but they said they could only deliver 40 at this time. As of today I already have 12 pre-orders for the Xbox 360s, excluding personnel. I also asked if they had some indication about a Kinect price, but as Major Nelson said, the haven't determined anything and its still anyones guess.
Seems like Microsft is going for a strong fight against PlayStation in EMEA, will be interesting to see what Xbox 360 will do in the upcoming EMEA sales chart, considering old Xbox 360 models have been reduced in price. Thoughts? Xbox 360 at 75,000 for next week in EMEA?
You aint found shit!
