Your argument fails because the only way either Shepard can get it on with Chambers (whom we can all agree is hands-down the best choice) is if they do not pursue a relationship with any of the ME2 crewmembers.
Since Chambers>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Everyone Else Combined, it follows logically that the designers intended for every player, male and female, to go after a chick. Therefore, the developers are, in fact, trying to "straighten out" any gay male players, and so far from being part of the San Francisco Agenda Bioware (a company located in Texas! That's a sign!) is subtly pushing the Conservative Christian viewpoint.
