I think if Nintendo really put them up to it, they did a very good job. I think the reaction at E3 when this title was announced is enough proof of this. It's just really wasn't expected and it does attract a different market then RE or MGS imo. Plus differentiating your library is always good. You're over simplifying things if you would say that all mature titles are more or less the same. I also think it's not only to make Nintendo look mature, having an action sandbox game on your console is always preferred.
