That would be pretty tricky. Each player would need his/her own wiimote to track his/her own head, and they would have to be far apart so the IR light sources don't show up on the other player's wiimote and confuse the system.

Possible, but too tricky to be practical, I think.

I don't think that would be a problem, it shouldn't be hard to match each IR dot to each person, both by tracking each person's dots and by calculating the distances between each pair of points in case several dots go from being invisible to being visible either sequentially or simultaneously. Knowing the relative position of each person also has to help. A simple but clever algorithm should be enough to solve that problem.
