It did it in a 8 week period beginning 11/24/03. The PS2's sales were definitely not as well sustained as the DS, though, which is why the DS will surpass it.

They're tracking very similarly THIS YEAR. That's an awful thing for the PS3 and 360. They can't sell more than a 7 year old console.

That's barely 7 million consoles.  Nowhere near 10 million.  The PS2 has never come close to 10 million in 8 weeks.
