Well, Retro would have to release a triage of great games on the Nintendo before releasing a couple of mediocre games and going underground for a few years.

Rare used to be comparable to Blizzard and Squaresoft, but it made a few mediocre games in the 2000s with the Conker series and It's Mr. Pants.
