Right now I live in Japan (stationed here Military). Prices of Electronics are very high here. They deffinately do not come cheap (Like South Korea). But, the price offset could be, because the Japanese Yen is valued more then the dollar. it is usually 88-92 Yen to the dollar.
so 1 USD usually equals about 88 cents in yen.
Don't know if thats the reason, but Japanese companies deff. like to rip off the Japanese customers. Everything is really expensive here off base.
A lot of Japanese women will date American service men just to shop on base alone.
