Dont be rediculous. The article is full of holes and BS comments. First up excluding the sales of Japan for FF13. PS3 sales is 2.2 million. 360 sales 1.41 million. Not a big gap. Oh no, COD 4 has sold over 2 million more on 360. PS3 version must be phasing out of stock. LOL. And everywhere the high street in UK has FF13 on both platforms virtually the same price. Here is UK's LARGEST video games retailer. http://www.game.co.uk/Games/PlayStation-3/Role-Playing/Final-Fantasy-XIII-/~r335927/?s=final fantasy 13 http://www.game.co.uk/Games/Xbox-360/Role-Playing/Final-Fantasy-XIII-/~r335928/?s=final fantasy 13#
Here is the shock for you. The collectors Edition on 360 is £5 more expensive on the high street than Ps3 version. Again the article is a load of bollocks. Yeah a game that has sold 1.4 million in less than 3 months on a single platform is really gonna be phased out. LOL. http://www.game.co.uk/Games/Xbox-360/Role-Playing/Final-Fantasy-XIII-Collectors-Edition/~r346053/?s=final fantasy 13 http://www.game.co.uk/Games/PlayStation-3/Role-Playing/Final-Fantasy-XIII-Collectors-Edition-/~r346054/?s=final fantasy 13 |
First off, saying "excluding Japan" killed all credibility to your argument, because even with Japan, what would that have added? Less than 500K to the total sales?
Secondly, the CoD4 example? Straw grasping much? Reason it sold better on 360 is because when it released....there were more people with 360s. It wasn't as if the title wasn't as popular on the PS3. Look at the attach ratio. It's nearly the same. Here with FFXIII, it seemed to actually be less popular by comparison, so they slashed the price to clear inventory. You may want to stick with just GAME, but the article talk about UK retailers as a whole. GAME has them at the same price, but Amazon UK has the 360 version at 17.99 UK money
