Logitech wheels have screw clamps which will work up to a 2 inch thick table. this includes the gear shift. One problem with the g27 wheel is you can't get tighten the clamp screws tight enough to keep the wheel from moving. I fix this by going to Walmart and buying kitchen cabinet liner. Put this liner under both the wheel  and gear shift stops any movement. another option is to hard mount them on to the table.

In most cases Logitech wheels are plug and play when it comes to PS3 and PS2 games. One problem though with G27 (came out before GT5P)  is the game doesn't recongnise the paddles in GT5P. (from what I've read you could use paddles with the older G25 wheel) I have no doubt this will be corrected in GT5.

I dont want to hard mount, but I don't know what "kitchen cabinet liner" is and we don't have Walmart in Sweden.
