What I failed to say was that it wasn't just me, I don't know a single gamer in real life or on websites like this who are "bored" with games. Maybe Itawa shouldn't jump to conclusions that boredum is even involved here. His own company just got done telling the world proudly that December was the biggest console sales month ever because of the Wii. How do you go from that to saying, well sales are down, gamers must be bored? Second, it isn't about core gamers or casual gamers. BOTH crowds have an abundance of games coming out and recently released. So don't go making it sound as if just because I'm mainly a core gamer I'm being represented differently than other types of gamers and that my opinion is useless. If Itawa can make "I know everything" statements about the gaming industry, when he couldn't be more clueless, then I'm definately going to pop up and say, this guy doesn't speak for me. |
1. Personal anecdotes are no better than personal feelings.
2. Your comment seemed to focus on that.
3. He's not. You're pretending he's getting it out of nowhere.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
