Ok, as of now, the new 360 bundles have price cuts on the old skus, even though they are in limited numers and "upgrades" of new skus with them sitting at around the same price but with wi-fi and more memory. Well, that's nice but these things probably won't be big selling points. I'm not expecting kinect or Move to be big selling points either. In the end, MS isn't being aggressive enough to caputre market share b/c they could probably cut price by $40 or so and add these features at the same time. Also, what has changed since the E3? -The PS3 will soon have Steamworks, giving developers one more reason to choose the PS3 for PC/PS3 games and kick MS to the curb. Adding the PC gamers to the mix will give developers more than enough $$$ so Sony will have to moneyhat less now (to give a PS3/Pc "exclusive" to avoid the 360), which will save them $$$$. Have you SEEN the attach ratios and userbase for the 360 in America? If you think any developer is going to kick the 360 to the curb anytime soon...welll I'm sorry but you are a bit delusional there. When the 360 had close to an 8 million unit lead WW, they didn't kick the PS3 to the curb, but because of steamworks they are suddenly going to forgo the entire 360 userbase? Please. -The 360 has a slim version now, that is 18% smaller than the orginal....whoah market changer here guys. The PS3 slim is 30% smaller thna the original.... and this is as small as the 360 is going to get, it ain't getting any more "freebies" now. This is its last beneficial turn of events. So you think that people actually measure the percent difference in size and make a purchase decision on that? Really? I can see it now... "Hey you know I was really going to buy that new 360, but it's only 18% smaller..DO NOT WANT"... Additionally what arguments do you have to support that this is "the last beneficial turn of events"? Just because you said so? It's been great so far for the PS3, more and more to come. I am completely fine with you feeling happy with your purchase and hoping for more great things for your system of choice. I'm not even disagreeing that the PS3 has had a good past year. But to off-handedly dismiss the strengths of the competition with no real cogent arguments...well, I think it'd be more genuine for you to just say, I prefer the PS3, so it's better, period. |
See my comments above. ON topic, as I said in an earlier post, I think it will be close this week, I think next week the 360 does outsell the PS3 WW though (my 2 cent prediction for what it's worth).
I think forum posters sometimes equate disagreement with hate. So let me be up front:I don't hate my PS3, nor do I hate Sony. But I disagree with just about everything you said up there, sorry.
