Some of you seem to be misinterpreting; Nintendo is not STOPPING SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT because of the hardware shortage, they are merely revising their plans for how they are going to release said software.

There is no point in releasing 2 or 3 blockbusters in a row if you aren't making enough Wii's to get in the hands of willing consumers. As a result, this demand is messing up their previously planned out release schedule or whatnot.

I agree with the poster that said this is in a way good news. I am 100% certain that development on these games will continue; they aren't about to tell their developers to man an assembly line in order to help them with the shortage. As a result, the development cycles on these games will probably be increased a bit, and I imagine we benefit in the long run from additional polish, new features, etc.
