I don't think the 3D is a problem for Sony. They know exactly who they are targeting right now and what it will do for their business. They have said that the 3D is very much a long term plan, so I think it will go "according to plan".
I'm curious to see how Move and Kinect will do, the $40 pricepoint for first party Move games is certainly a good move from Sony (no pun intended).
