| themanwithnoname said: No offense, but of all the games you've listed in the OP, I'm interested in Gears of War 3 and the 3DS (though Mortal Kombat may get a buy from me, just for nostalgia). How does Pokemon Black/White not make the 2011 list? I'm offended! This year I've bought Mass Effect 2, Final Fantasy XIII, Splinter Cell: Conviction, Alan Wake, Red Dead Redemption, and Pokemon SoulSilver. Still left for me this year: Halo: Reach, Fable III, CoD Black Ops, Fallout: New Vegas, AC: Brotherhood, DQ IX, and Golden Sun: Dark Dawn. Right now, it's no contest for me, 2010 > 2011, but that appears to be just because I'm interested in more third party stuff than you are. EDIT: Dead Space 2, MGS Rising, and Rage all look nice too. |
My lists were by no means complete though, I was just sampling the awesomesauce.
I really wish I could get more people on the Guild Wars 2 wagon, it really looks like one hell of a game. An MMO where the world changes depending on player actions, with a personal story made to rival those of singleplayer RPGs. All without a monthly fee. Screw The Old Republic, this is the game that will shake the foundations of the MMO world, and actually bring MMOs up to date.
Make no mistake though, 2010 is still way up there. 2011 just overtook it.
