Nah, I still think 2010 is the peak of this gen. I mean Halo Reach, GT5, SMG2.

Is anything bigger than those franchises on respected consoles?

I think 2011 is a start of slow downwards slope, which comes to an end in 2013 with the new gen consoles.

Edit - sales wise I could be wrong with Kinect and Move coming out. 2011 may be > 2010 in sales due to those fads.

I agree with this,  when you have the 3 of the biggest franchises all coming out with a game in the same year,  how can any other year be considered bigger.

Because those are just 3 games. A combination of games make next year amazing. You can't say that this generation has peaked just because 3 big games come out.

This basically. It's all a matter of taste in the end though of course, I'm not much of an online gamer, so Halo: Reach will never be to me what it is to so many others. The combination of Halo: Reach, Gran Turismo 5 and SMG2 can't beat any of those three games I highlighted alone for me.
