1. You are overreacting. Ten to one it plays fine with the wiimote in your left hand.
2. Nintendo did not fail to consider you. Miyamoto himselef is a southpaw. He plays the game more than anyone. He judged that southpaws wouldn't mind playing this way.
3. If you let this put you off of buying what you already anticipate to be one of the greatest games of te generation, I'm not going to try to convince you, but I will suggest that you are taking your reaction several steps beyond what's reasonable.
