Bizarre feature for a handheld but maybe it supports 5.1 headphones for 3 people or something or maybe you are supposed play it next to your Hi Fi.
I actually do own a set of 5.1 Headphones with Force feedback support bit pricey though for a handheld I would of thought and chunky.
