But polarized basically needs a dark room rite?

Not at all.

Polarized LCDs work just like any LCD, light or dark. the problem with them is that they cut the resolution to 1920x540 since every second line is used to show an imago to each eye.

2X projector polarized setup which is true 1080p is bright as f&*k(brighter than movie theater)...you can easily do it during day time no problemo. But its a little sweeter when its dark :)

What do u mean "2X" projector and how can i t be true 1080p just because its a projectro?

And how much it costs?

Explains the basics... :)

It will cost you:

2 good projectors: 2000-2500 bucks

Screen and polarized film for projectors: 200 bucks

Top notch PC to play 3D bluray and games: 1500

Glasses: 5 bucks a pop :)

Not a lot of money for a 100 inch 1080p 3D setup. You have to use IZ3D driver for gaming which is good and 3D bluray will work with powerDVD10 or arcsoft software and any bluray drive.

PS3 does not support this kind of a display, nor will it ever since Sony wants you to buy their TV.

All the 360 current 3D games can work with this...with aditional hardware (capture card to stream video to PC, and have Pc project it to the screen)

U mean $2500 for two projectors?

That's not too much. But that setup sounds complicated and error prone. :/

 - "Put one projector on top of the other (make sure you don't block any vents though, make a stand or something so there's a good gap between then) then send the same image to both projectors (clone display in windows or something)"

Is it gonna be as good as Avatar 3D at the movi theatre?

You definetly need to be handy when installing this...

It will be as good as bluray Avatar 3D can be. :) If the bluray rip is same quality as theater version, it will be as good.

The main concern with this for regular consumers is that there is no support...people are scared of doing it since its all up to them to figure it out.
