Today when the DK music started I almost pissed my pants I was so exited. I've been waiting for a new Kong game since JungleBeat in 2005. As a pessamist I automatically see the negatives not saying DKC:R won't be amazing but I quickly noticed something. The Kong himself looks alot more blocky and under textured when compared to DK in Jungle Beat. I was suprised to see Nintendo giving DK another sidescrolling platformer and I quickly realized Diddy was also pretty awful looking. So I decided to find proof and ask you if you think the Kong looked better on the Cube or on Wii?

/ Jungle Beat (GameCube)/

/ Diddy and Donkey (Brawl) /

Notice in Jungle Beat the arms are seemless. While in DKC:R the seams are clearly visable. Also the texturing of the hair looks inferior. Also look at the eyes, I find that the Country eyes look really 64 to me while the Jungle Beat eyes look well rounded and and add to the characters beauty.
Then look at Donkey Kong and Diddy in Brawl. Look at the in game screens they blow me away they even make Jungle Beat look bad. Why didn't Retro just borrow the character models and engine from Sora and make a DK game based on that.
I also noticed the other characters don't look as well textured and rendered as they did in Jungle Beat.

Disclaimer
I love all things Donkey Kong, I'm not hating on Country:R just wondering if anyone else noticed the different look that Country has when compaired to Jungle Beat. That being said I know many of you never bought Jungle Beat so you wouldn't know about the different in visuals.
To me the new Country game just looks like its from the 64 and not the Wii, just look at Donkey Kong's parts of Brawl. The cinematics for example
