I think our problem is we are trying to hard to compare it to stuff.
I mean imagine say 10 hours into this game, i bet they make the game as usual just so flawless and everything just look like its, its own world and we can't imagine this game looking any different.
edit: and actually if I had to compare it to any zelda game I woudl say it looks most like ocarina of time
