I did watch the show. I just don't think a handheld that has PS2 graphics basically is something for ME to jump about and say how amazing it is. Until i see the 3DS myself i can't make any judgements about it. MS show sucked but at least they showed you the things being played or being used. As i said the presentation was top notch, really entertaining. It is nice to see Kid Icarus back as i loved the orgional. But if you break it down it was flash and little substance. What happens if when people get hold of the 3DS and say it looks crap, will the show still be considered amazing? I am a hardcore gamer. I love this gens games. I am and never will be a handheld gamer. For me it is now down to Sony to pull games out of the bag that i will enjoy. I am not bashing Nintendo's conference just saying the things they showed are maybe not my thing. Just like a lot of stuff in MS conference. |
uh, there are some pretty complex handheld games out there that I've played over the years, if you are really serious about gaming, you shouldn't stay away from anything and should try quiet a few of them before labeling yourself as uh..... "hardcore" which is a really bad way to describe serious gamers imo.
We'll find out when the journalists start reporting on the 3DS since you can't show the 3D to most people watching at home or on the road.
If you break down the MS show like you do the Nintendo show, you'd realize that Black OPs is CoD #??? by now, Gears is the third one, so is Fable, and Halo Reach is how many Halos now? Video of a game we know nothing about mixed with RL and CGI, on top of a bunch of Wii or DS games on their motion control. I sure hope you were not excited about ESPN since you are such a "serious gamer." I only sense a general bias, if anything, you should hate both or love both with your analogy and not prefer one over another.
