Epic fails like the Wii Music announcement or the PS3's price point? It seems like we only remember the epic highs or the dismal lows when it comes to E3. Microsoft had a solid showing without really hitting us with that one big surprise that set the internet on fire. Because of that, many think that the whole show sucked. We get a re-design, Gears, Halo, etc. along with some great new potential, and people aren't satisfied. I don't get it. Sony will probably have a pretty solid showing, too. Nintendo should, as well. What are people expecting from these 5 years old consoles? The good games are coming. The potential is there. E3 is just a glimpse into the future of gaming. We need to quit making it into something it's not. I look forward to the other showings and to this week, in general. |
