Has Europe sales saved PS3 this Christmas from an embarrasment?

The question is phrased in a rather sensationalist manner, JH, but if we were simply to ask: is Europe significantly helping the PS3? The answer is clearly yes. It's making up about 50 percent of its sales, when a typical console would see about 35 percent of its sales from the EU.
