Not necessarily. While what you say has some merit, these same people, when walking into a store to buy a console and GTA4, they will see that the cheapest Xbox 360 is $120 cheaper than the cheapest PS3. That's a big deciding factor for this type of gamer. Also, as I said, the way each company handles advertising and price drops will have a big effect on which version people who don't read about 'console wars' will buy.
