I dunno why people keep saying Galaxy 2 is outselling 1 like it's a good thing...there's a much larger Wii install base now, remember? Everybody ignores that. Galaxy 2 certainly *should* be outselling 1, and not by a little.

Install base is not important, sold copies is. Attach rate for individual games drops quickly when install base is getting better so using attach rates have no meaning. Practically always when sequel to a game is released on the same console, sales of the sequel are not significantly better or they are even worse. It is rare to sell much more than prequel if prequel was on the same console. Usually sequel sells less copies although install base is many times bigger. No matter how well liked prequel was.
