Super mario world was so much more creative than than mario 3.  World was crazy and had levels that I never thought were imgenable. the theme worlds of desert and wter and others were boring but that's due to every platformer milking the things these days. 

See, I think the complete opposite.  Each world in Mario 3 had its own unique flavor.  Mario World seemed much more generic.  Where was the ice world or the giant world? 

Not to mention, if you saw those giant goombas back when SMB3 came out, they were amazing.  And that level where you can walk between normal size and giant size was awesome... not replayed until Mario 64.

I beat mario bros 3. I played through the game. The levels are very short. also all the levels are themed.
While in mario world you saw crazy stuff that made you think these people are crazy! Also generic
is only for theme.


While at times mario 3 did fool around. world took a bigger step there. While Mario 3 was orginal in its day. Its hasn't age well. Every platformer these days have all those levels expect a few like
fire,ice,water and air world. Mario 3 felt stale to me while mario world had many diffrent ideas it was awsome
