3D Xbox plans to be announced 'soon'

Is Microsoft preparing an E3 announcement?
Microsoft is preparing to announce plans for 3D Xbox 360 display soon according to Blitz Game Studios co-founder Andrew Oliver.

"Microsoft are going to be making an announcement about it at some point soon," he said at a Westminster eForum event in London today.

In fact, Oliver said that the 360 was already fully equipped for 3D, reaffirming Microsofts claim earlier today that 3D would continue to evolve on their console

"Our game did come out in 3D on the Xbox 360, so 3D is possible, even through an HDMI 1.2 cable. Ubisoft created Avatar, which includes a mode for 3D on a 3D TV. It is just a case of adding a mode into the options menu, so there's no need for two different products."

Although there's obviously no mention of a date, a prime time to announce direct competition with Sony in this way would be at E3 next week.

Not a 360 fanboy, just a PS3 fanboy hater that likes putting them in their place ^.^
